Don Mueang International Airport

Don Mueang International Airport is one of two international airports serving the Metropolitan Area of Bangkok, and the other of Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). Don Mueang was formerly known as Bangkok International Airport until Suvarnabhumi opened in 2006.

Wat Phra Kaew

Wat Pho

Giant Swing

One of Bangkok’s most eye-catching sights stands in the middle of the busy square across from Wat Suthat: the 27-meter-high teak frame of the so-called Giant Swing. Designed in the 1700s to be used as part of traditional Brahmin (Hinduist) rituals, the swing subsequently was destroyed by lightning and decorative only.
